Special Education Legal Fund (S.E.L.F) and SEEK CT (Special Education Equity for Kids of CT) are excited to announce their upcoming 2025 Resource Fair, which will be held on Sunday, March 30th, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Stamford JCC. This event aims to provide resources and support for families with special education students.
Since its founding in 2010, S.E.L.F. has been dedicated to assisting families in need with children with special education needs. S.E.L.F. believes every child deserves equal access to quality education and strives to provide the necessary resources for academic success. The 2025 Resource Fair is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with schools, therapists, providers, agencies, and nonprofit organizations that specialize in supporting children with special needs.
This event will feature over 50 exhibitors showcasing their services and programs catering to students with special education needs. “We are thrilled to host the 2025 Resource Fair with SEEK at the Stamford JCC as it aligns perfectly with our mission of providing support and resources for families with children in special education,” said Christine Lai, Co-founder and Executive Director of S.E.L.F. “Our goal is to provide a one-stop-shop for families in need of resources for their special needs child. This fair will make it easier for parents and caregivers to access valuable information and connect with organizations that can help.”
“We are thrilled to partner with S.E.L.F.,” expressed Naomi Nova, Vice President and Conference Chair of SEEK. “Through this collaboration, we aim to offer an enlightening afternoon for parents and community members seeking transformative educational experiences for children with special needs.” S.E.L.F.’s corporate partners include Wealthspire Advisors, Eagle Hill School, Winston Prep, Pinnacle School/Spire School, American School for the Deaf, Chapel Haven Schleifer Center, Fusion Academy, and Villa Maria School. Moffly Media is the event media sponsor.

Special Education Legal Fund (S.E.L.F.) was founded in 2018 to level the playing field for families in need with children in the special education system. S.E.L.F. provides resources, knowledge, and support to parents, guardians, and self-advocates to facilitate the successful navigation of the special education process. Since 2018, S.E.L.F. has provided over $1.2 million in direct support grants to hundreds of families requiring special education legal or advocacy support. In addition, S.E.L.F. has supported thousands of families through the Parent Education Program, which provides free informational resources to families on special education topics.
SEEK is a nonprofit made up of parents, special education advocates, and attorneys. Its mission is to secure an excellent education as a basic civil and human right for students with disabilities in Connecticut. Promoting greater equity is central to SEEK’s mission, and to that end, this year SEEK is working closely with lawmakers to address issues pertaining to school funding and to enact additional protections for our most vulnerable students.
