The polling operation of Quinnipiac University, based in Hamden, Connecticut, has done a presidential election poll in the swing state of Pennsylvania. The Quinnipiac University Poll finds that Vice President Kamala Harris has a slight edge over Donald Trump in the swing state, with 48% of likely voters supporting Harris, 45% supporting Trump, and 4% supporting We The People Party candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Other third-party candidates each receive less than 1% support.
The Quinnipiac Poll showed that Harris leads among women 54% to 41%, while Trump leads among men 49% to 42%.
In a hypothetical two-way race, Harris receives 50% support and Trump receives 47% support.
The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.4 percentage points. The poll found that likely voters are divided on whether Harris is honest (46% say yes, 48% say no) and whether she has good leadership skills (48% say yes, 47% say no). Fifty percent say she cares about average Americans, while 47% say she does not. A slight majority (52%) say she has the kind of personality and temperament it takes to serve effectively as president, while 46% say she does not
Thirty-seven percent of likely voters say Trump is honest, while 60% say he is not. Voters are divided on whether he has good leadership skills (50% say yes, 49% say no). Forty-six percent of voters say he cares about average Americans, while 54% say he does not. Forty-six percent say he has the kind of personality and temperament it takes to serve effectively as president, while 53% say he does not.
The poll found that 32% of the likely voters in Pennsylvania felt that the economy was the most important issue, followed by preserving democracy in the United States at 25% and immigration at 10%.
