The much-anticipated Wave Hill Breads retail location in Norwalk quietly opened its doors over the weekend.
Rumors about the opening of the location had circulated with weeks, with media frequently being told that it would open “soon.” Wave Hill Breads already sold bread from its existing bakery, which provides a number of area restaurants with high quality loaves, but the space was not set up for sales.
“It is a good morning indeed,” read the caption on a post to the bakery’s Facebook page, featuring a cup of coffee in front of the 239 Westport Avenue storefront, lit by an early morning sunrise on July 13.
In addition to the company’s signature breads, the location serves authentic Italian coffee from Trucillo, and claims to be the only café in the state offering the imported brand. A wide selection of pastries, deserts, and breakfast sandwiches are also offered.
