A new veterinary clinic recently opened in Port Chester, while a veterinary hospital is set to open in Westport this summer.
Hub Veterinary Group, which its grand opening on March 7, is designed to meet all your pet’s needs while bridging the gap between general practice and specialty/emergency care.
HUB’s founder, Courtney Bellew, also established SNARR Northeast (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation) in 2011. After 13 years in the world of special needs pet rescue, she said she understands the importance of accessible pet care, Bellew created HUB Veterinary Group “with a simple mission – to make high-quality veterinary care more accessible to every pet who comes through our doors. For so many people, great veterinary care has become extremely unaffordable. Because of this, their pet is unable to get the care they deserve, and pets and the people who love them suffer. We truly believe every animal deserves excellence.”
Hub, 316 Boston Road, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with walk-ins accepted. For more,

Meanwhile, Spot on Vet in Stamford will open a second location in Westport this summer. Designed by founder and veterinarian Philip Putter, DVM, the 7,000-square-foot facility will feature four exam rooms and a comfort suite with a separate entrance, advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment and holistic treatments.
Spot On will also offer valet service from Westport to its Stamford pet hotel and makes house calls. Indeed, Spot On, which began as a concierge house-call veterinary service in Stamford, is offering Westport and Southport residents $100 off house calls with the promo code WPSO1.
Said Putter: “Our mission is to provide world class care for our clients and their pets through exceptional medicine and distinguished client service – every pet, every client, every time.”
