US Senator Chris Murphy has released the Connecticut Fund Finder on his official site.
The interactive map highlights major investments in communities across the state that were drawn from federal funding sources which the Senator claims at least partial responsibility for. It tracks funding that came from the American Rescue Plan Act, the CHIPS and Science Act which provides funding for semiconductor development and high-tech research, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act plus other spending from Congress.
The map also reveals how much communities across the state received for both individual projects and a number of common draws from larger funds.
Within Fairfield County, the Town of Sherman received the smallest share of federal funds, pulling only $1,074,300 from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. While Sherman is the smallest municipality in the county the largest, Brid
geport, earned more than $110,000,000 in its largest of 3 grants from the same fund.
The single largest federal investment throughout all of Fairfield county  according to the map is the WALK Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk. The repairs to the train bridge on the New Haven Line are listed at $465,000,000.
