
Heineken toasts its new HQ
Heineken USA on Nov. 10 unveiled its renovated corporate headquarters on Hamilton Avenue in White Plains.
The company”™s president and CEO Dolf van den Brink spoke at the event, reaffirming Heineken USA”™s commitment to the city of White Plains. White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach, Westchester Business Council President Marsha Gordon and state Assemblyman Robert Castelli were also in attendance.
Following the renovation, Heineken USA is seeking a LEED Gold certification for the corporate offices.
The company ”“ whose brands include Heineken, Heineken Premium Light, Dos Equis, Newcastle Brown Ale and Amstel Light ”“ has been headquartered in White Plains since 1995.
ConEdison Solutions seeks defense contracts
Valhalla-based ConEdison Solutions, which specializes in renewable energy-related projects, said it is looking to win contracts under the U.S. Department of Defense”™s Energy Savings Performance Contracting program.
The company, a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison Inc., also said it had retained New Jersey energy consulting firm PS&S Global L.L.C. to provide assistance in exploring potential business opportunities.
“The federal government is aggressively seeking ways to cut energy costs,” Michael Gibson, vice president of energy services for ConEdison Solutions, said in a statement, adding that PS&S Global would play a key role in helping ConEdison Solutions to “work with the Defense Department to implement cost-saving energy efficiency measures.”
