Celebrating its 65th anniversary, Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers Inc. announced it is underwriting a series of events to support groups that echo the theme of the anniversary: “We all do well by doing good.” The anniversary kicked off Dec. 6 at
the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce holiday mixer at Ole Savannah Southern Table & Bar, 100 Rondout Landing, Kingston, which saluted RUPCO, a leading affordable housing and community development group with a special focus on senior citizens living in RUPCO apartments.
Ryan & Ryan was opened Dec. 1, 1958, when 27-year-old Robert J. Ryan, purchased the Duffy Agency in Rosendale, New York, and launched an insurance brokerage that today remains among a handful of privately held agencies serving the mid-Hudson region.
