The UConn Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that promotes the goals of the University of Connecticut and UConn Health, has named Amy Yancey as its next president and CEO. She replaces Jonathan Greenblatt, who served on an interim basis since April following the resignation of Jake Lemon.
Yancey has served as vice president for development at Boston College since 2019, overseeing fundraising for financial aid, the student and athletic experience, and academic programs. Earlier in her career, she was associate vice president for development at the University of Virginia and led fundraising teams at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in plant sciences and agricultural economics.
“We are excited to have Amy join us as our next leader of the UConn Foundation,” said Craig W. Ashmore, chairman of the foundation’s board of directors. “She is a demonstrated and accomplished fund raiser, and with her exceptional leadership skills, we are expecting her to significantly elevate our organization’s performance.”
