The Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop announced that it ended its fiscal year with a record-breaking $1.03 million in sales.
As a result, the volunteer organization will be able to donate $500,000 to fund equipment for the hospital. A total of 284 volunteers – including 62 junior volunteers in the summer program – provided 27,206 hours of service to achieve this result.
In addition, the Auxiliary announced the completion of its five-year commitment to support the Greenwich Hospital’s midwife program with a donation of $200,000, and it announced a new five-year $1 million pledge to support behavioral healthcare services.
“Greenwich Hospital volunteers are extraordinary people who care,” said Stacey Green, director of volunteer services.
Hospital President Diane Kelly thanked the volunteers at last month’s 73rd annual Auxiliary Board of Directors meeting by declaring, “You are all an important part of the Greenwich Hospital culture. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your caring and commitment.”
