Charles Kirkland, the Phoenix-based entrepreneur and CEO of Charles Kirkland Cos., has launched a scholarship for students interested in creating innovative solutions to real-world problems, particularly in the field of green energy.
Applications are now being accepted for the Charles Kirkland Scholarship for Entrepreneurs, a one-time award of $1,000 that is available to students enrolled in a U.S. university or high school students who plan to pursue a business degree.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants are required to submit a creative essay of under 1,000 words. The essay topic is “Describe an industry related to green energy that needs significant improvement and propose a new business idea that could make a positive impact in that industry.”
