The University of Connecticut School of Business has revised its MBA program to speed up the process of graduation.
Beginning in Fall 2023, the program will decrease the number of credits required to earn an MBA from 57 to 42. The program is also changing its concentrations and realigning its core courses in order to allow students to complete the MBA program from three years to just over one year while reducing the cost of the program.
UConn MBA students will also be able to pursue a fully online MBA program or take part in the FLEX MBA program that enables the attendance of in-person courses in Hartford, Stamford or Waterbury along with online courses. UConn also offers a cohort-based Executive MBA program that meets in Hartford on weekends.
“The UConn MBA program, which has long set the bar for excellence, will retain its vibrancy, rigor, and focus on essential leadership development,”™”™ says John A. Elliott, dean of the School of Business. “We have re-examined our offerings and arranged courses to have maximum impact, added elective concentrations, and allowed students to pursue specialized interests.”™”™
