Boca Oyster Bar, Bridgeport”™s newest restaurant and the latest business in the Steelpointe Harbor had its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by Mayor Joe Ganim.
Inside the recently completed Dockmaster Building at 10 E. Main St., the waterfront restaurant covers 13,000 square feet of dining, bar and patio space designed by Emilia Ferri Architecture + Design. The menu focuses on seafood fare, including a proprietary lobster roll made with fresh-picked Maine lobster, warm sherry and Old Bay butter sauce on a brioche roll. Boca Oyster Bar also highlights its New Zealand lamb lollipops with chimichurri sauce and 42-ounce cowboy bone-in rib eye with choice of sauce for its nonseafood offerings.
The restaurant is also marketing itself for private events, noting that multiple dining areas and bar service options can be created within its main dining room and outdoor area. It will be open seven days a week, with Saturday and Sunday brunch service and live music on weekends. Designated boat slips are also available for patrons.
Boca Oyster Bar is the fifth business to operate at Steelpointe Harbor and the first to open in four years. Bass Pro Shops opened in 2015 and was followed that year by the arrival of Starbucks, Chipotle and T-Mobile stores on a commercial property opposite the sporting goods retailer.
