Nordstrom Inc. has announced an Oct. 11 opening date for its first Fairfield County store in the new SoNo Collection mall in Norwalk.
The three-level, 140,000 square-foot store is the retailer”™s third location in Connecticut, joining the Nordstrom and the Nordstrom Rack stores in Farmington. On the night before the new store”™s opening, Nordstrom will host a pre-opening party called “Norwalk Night Out,” with proceeds from all sales from the $100-per-person tickets being donated to Fairfield County”™s Community Foundation and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.
“Taking care of our communities is core to who we are and an important part of how we do business,” said Paul Morton, Nordstrom senior vice president and Northeast regional manager. “We”™re thrilled that proceeds from Norwalk Night Out will benefit two deserving organizations right here in Norwalk whose important work supports the families and young people in this community.”
