After an extensive search, Diane Kelly has been selected as chief operating officer and executive vice president for Greenwich Hospital, as well as senior vice president for Yale New Haven Health, effective April 30.
Kelly has been COO of Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts since 2008. While at BMC, she also served as vice president of Quality and Safety and was instrumental in developing its Patient Safety Program.
Other posts included director of Patient Safety and clinical leader of the Psychiatric Unit. She began her career at BMC, working as a staff nurse on various units.
“Diane has a proven track record in health care administration with many years of experience in direct patient care and hospital operations,” President and CEO of Greenwich Hospital Norman Roth said. “She is renowned for her ability to collaborate with physicians and ensure the success of her organization.”
Kelly replaces Sue Brown, who retired last month after serving as COO since 2014.
