State lawmakers have unveiled a “Connecticut Made” logo, which they said will help businesses and industry leaders promote the local origins of their products, encourage consumers to buy local and help support jobs.
The concept is similar to the “Connecticut Grown” logo, which promotes local agriculture.
Among the companies committed to using the logo, which is available for download on Connecticut”™s Department of Economic and Community Development website, are Stratford”™s Two Roads Brewing, Fairfield”™s Connecticut Cookie Co., Stamford”™s Lorca coffee shop and bakery and Norwalk”™s Calcutta Kitchens.
The Connecticut Package Store Association has indicated it will also promote “Connecticut Made” sections employing the new logo in its liquor stores.
