The Women”™s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC) honored attorney Lissette Fernandez with the Lillian Vernon award at its fall networking event held recently at Ruth”™s Chris Steak House in Tarrytown.
Fernandez is the founder of LGF Law, a bilingual general law practice. She has contributed a substantial amount of her time to holding community forums and representing, pro bono, survivors of domestic violence, immigrants, trafficking victims, cancer survivors and indigent parents in child-protective proceedings.
David Hochberg, son of the late direct marketing icon Lillian Vernon, presented the award to Fernandez. He noted that his mother, like Fernandez, was an immigrant who became a successful businesswoman and gave back to the community.
