The Westchester County Office of Economic Development announced that informational workshops about funding opportunities for businesses, organizations and municipalities are upcoming in the next round of the Mid-Hudson Consolidated Funding Application (CFA).

Empire State Development will hold a CFA Workshop in Westchester County on June 5  from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gateway Center, Westchester Community College, 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla.
The workshop will include an overview of Regional Economic Development Councils Round 9 competition and regional and statewide strategies followed by informational breakout sessions and Q&A on the 30 different programs included in the CFA process.

“These informational workshops are a tremendous opportunity for local business owners to learn more about the CFA application process and the funding available to expand their businesses,” Westchester County Executive George Latimer said.

In 2018, 24 projects in Westchester received a total of about $16 million in funding through the application process, an increase over the $10.7 million awarded in 2017. In addition, Westchester also received $20 million in Excelsior Job Credits and $11 million in low cost economic development financing.

The state agencies that administer the 30 programs offered include: Empire State Development; Department of State Local Government Efficiency; Federal Industrial Development Bond Cap; Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; Homes and Community Renewal; Department of State Local Waterfront Revitalization; Brownfield Opportunity Area; NYS Council on the Arts; NYSERDA; Environmental Facilities Corporation Green Innovation Grant; NYPA ReCharge NY; and the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
