Archie and Jughead and their old gang at Riverdale High have moved from their longtime hangout in Mamaroneck.

The long-lived comic book characters’ publisher, Archie Comic Publications Inc., in May relocated its Westchester headquarters to the Sanborn Map Building at 629 5th Ave. in Pelham. The move was announced by Eric S. Goldschmidt, senior partner at Goldschmidt & Associates in Scarsdale, who brokered the deal for the 76-year-old publishing company.

Archie Comics for many years occupied an approximately 7,000-square-foot office and warehouse building at 325 Fayette Ave. in a Mamaroneck industrial area. “But being in the digital age there was minimal need for a warehouse and a requirement for more office space,” Goldschmidt said. The lease for the brick-walled, high-ceilinged, 10,300-square-foot space in Pelham followed a lengthy search, he said.

Representing the building owner and manger, an affiliate of Caspi Development Co. in Purchase, was Michael McCall, vice president at CBRE.
