Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. will expand its headquarters on Elmsford”™s Saw Mill River Road just three years after moving into the space.
The brewery will retain its current 19,000 square feet and take over a 4,800-square-foot space next door, according to a posting on the brewery”™s Notes From the Tasting Room blog, written by resident Captain Lawrence columnist Michael J. Malone.
The expansion, expected to be completed in 2015, will allow the brewery to increase its production. The construction will include the installation of a second bottling line that will focus on the company’s sour beer selections, Malone said.
The company was started by Scott Vaccaro in South Salem (the brewery is named after the street he grew up on). Vaccaro told Malone, “This will allow us to do a lot more beer ”“ to really expand production.”
