USPS debuts 2024 holiday season stamps…in January!

While most people are packing up their Christmas decorations, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is getting a significant head start on the next yuletide by announcing four new stamp designs for the 2024 holiday season.

The USPS previewed “Holiday Joy,” a set of art-inspired holiday stamp designs featuring two colorful Christmas ornaments, a vibrant poinsettia surrounded by greenery, and a whimsical blue flower centered against green leaves and delicate scrollwork. Antonio Alcalá, an art director for USPS, designed the stamps and booklet of 20, using original digital illustrations by Michelle Muñoz.

The USPS has not announced when the stamps will go on sale, but when they are available they will be at a higher sales price than the 2023 holiday stamps – the cost of first-class mail is rising on Jan. 21 from 66 cents to 68 stamps.
