Survey: Only one-third of Americans view Father’s Day as important

Sunday is Father”™s Day, but a new survey by the gift provider Manly Man Co. has determined it is a significantly overlooked observance by many Americans.

In a poll of 1,000 Americans, only one-third (33.6%) chose Father’s Day as being “one of the most important holidays” ”“ in comparison, 41.2% chose Mother”™s Day as an important holiday.

When asked if they ever forgot to give their dad a Father’s Day gift, a combined total of 26% of Americans said “yes” or “maybe.” More men were late with Father”™s Day gifts (62.7%) than women (37.3%), and more men (60.3%) asked when the holiday occurred compared to 39.7% of women.

As for the strangest Father”™s Day gifts ever received, responses included macaroni art, a bad letter, a pet rock, a fish plaque, a plunger, Pokemon cards and an alligator head preserved by taxidermy.
