Pace Law to hold 2021 Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Summit
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University will hold the fourth annual Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Virtual Summit May 11-12.
The event will focus on increasing and preserving affordable housing. It is being presented by Goldstein Hall PLLC, Pace Land Use Law Center and the Housing Action Council.
Speakers include Darryl Austin, senior counsel at Goldstein Hall; Christopher Illum, executive director of Habitat for Humanity New York City Community Fund; Beck Koepnik, senior VP and chief strategy officer for portfolio preservation at NYS Homes and Community Renewal; Rosemarie Noonan, executive director of Housing Action Counsel; and Tiffany Zezula, deputy director of the Land Use Law Center, among others.
On May 11, the discussion will center on long-term housing affordability postpandemic, the fragility of the rental housing market, opportunities for owner bailouts and resident ownership.
The next day’s discussion will concern the relationship between affordable housing and community health, along with the ways in which hospitals can redefine their community investment strategies through affordable housing.
Both sessions will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m.over Zoom. General admission is $20 per day.
