The event took place at the New York Botanical Garden and recognized the medical center”™s accomplishments over the decades. It celebrated the hospital”™s milestones from its founding in 1917 as a U.S. Army hospital during World War I to its role today as the Hudson Valley”™s largest health care provider.
Present and former officials of the medical center as well as the county were on hand. The evening paid tribute to honorees from past years who received medals recognizing their contributions to WMC and its patients.
The gala benefited WMC, Maria Fareri Children”™s Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center, all members of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
