VISITING NURSE SERVICES IN WESTCHESTER was recognized as a member of the 2012 HomeCare Elite, designating it one of the top home health care agencies in the U.S. The award is given by National Research Corporation/OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth and based on meeting rigorous national best practice measures.

WESTMED MEDICAL GROUP recently announced 28 of its physicians in 20 medical specialties made Westchester County”™s “Top Doctors” list published in the November 2012 issue of Westchester Magazine. The magazine generates its list based on information compiled by Castle Connolly Medical, a health care research firm.

MOUNT VERNON HOSPITAL (MVH) was recently named a 2012 Press Ganey Top Improver Award winner for its significant improvement in 26 clinical core measures. MVH was one of only 12 hospitals in the country to receive the award for improvement in patient satisfaction scores.

Westchester’s hospice organizations hosted their third annual “For Those Who Have Served” breakfast, commemorating Veterans Recognition Month and honoring Westchester residents who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Over 220 people attended the breakfast hosted by Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester (HPCW), Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care, and Phelps Hospice.
