TEATOWN LAKE RESERVATION, a nonprofit, environmental organization with an 875-acre nature preserve and education center located in Westchester, recently honored Geoffrey Thompson of Croton-on-Hudson for preservation of The Croft, a 58-acre wilderness property. Thompson is a founding partner of public relations and marketing agency Thompson & Bender in Briarcliff.Â
MARY K. SPENGLER of White Plains, the executive director of Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester, was recently honored as Salve Regina University”™s 2012 Distinguished Alumna. Spengler worked for 30 years in a variety of administrative positions at White Plains Hospital, including as director of nursing. She graduated from Salve Regina with a degree in biology and has a master”™s degree in nursing from New York Medical College in Valhalla.
MARIAN WHITE was recently featured in Westchester magazine as a 2012 Five Star Wealth Manager. The 2012 Five Star Wealth Managers are a select group, representing less than 2 percent of the wealth managers in the Westchester area. White is senior vice president at LEXCO Wealth Management Inc. in Tarrytown.

MICHAEL MAHONEY of Brewster was recently named president and CEO of UHY Advisors NY, a tax and business-consulting firm with offices in Rye Brook, Manhattan, Albany and New Haven, Conn. Mahoney began his career with UHY Advisors NY in Albany in 1985 before moving to the firm”™s New York City office in 1990. He is a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.
CHRISTOPHER MCKNIFF was recently appointed by Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS (HGAR) as its government affairs director. McKniff will help to develop HGAR”™s policies and objectives involving local, state and federal government affairs, as well as analyze proposed legislative actions and their potential impact on the association. McKniff holds a Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Southern California.
SCHENLEY D. VITAL recently joined Dorf & Nelson L.L.P. as an associate in the litigation department working closely with Denise Singh-Skeete, head of the creditors”™ rights and financial services litigation group. Vital holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Fordham University.
DAVID LEEÂ was recently appointed by HSBC to senior vice president and area manager for Westchester County, a position in which he will be responsible for 18 branches. Lee has a bachelor”™s degree in economics from Queens College in New York.
