Kayak expands access to service through Amazon’s Alexa

If one wanted to use the travel services of Stamford-headquartered Kayak.com they would typically access the online travel service search engine through a mobile or personal computer device. But with the ongoing evolution of voice recognition technology, products like Amazon’s Alexa, a voice-controlled audio speaker capable of doing many of the same functions a smartphone currently can, from searching the internet and hailing an Uber to managing calendars and tasks, a new gateway to the digital world is opening in the form of the voice-controlled devices and assitatn programs.
