Higher education and health care industries are focus of panel discussion

Chad Rynbrandt, head of strategy and business development with Philips North America, will be the keynote speaker at the “Thought Leaders Master Series: Hudson Valley EDs & MEDs Power Panel” to be held on March 24 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Marist College Student Center in Poughkeepsie.

Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. President and CEO Larry Gottlieb will address the increase in higher education and health care businesses in the Hudson Valley and how the two industries collaborate and form alliances.

Panelists include:

  • Scott Batulis, president and CEO of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System in Middletown;
  • Joseph DiCarlo, senior vice president and director of human resources of Westmed Practice Partners in Purchase;
  • James DuMond, dean of the school of science at Marist College;
  • Paul Hochenberg, executive director of MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center Health Network in Poughkeepsie;
  • Luke McGuinness, CEO of Health Quest in LaGrangeville; and
  • Kenneth Steier, dean of clinical education and professor of medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown.

The keynote presentation begins at 8:30 a.m. and the panel discussion follows at 9.
