Health care exececutive leaves Philadelphia for Montefiore
Montefiore Health System announced the appointment of John M. Finger as senior vice president for strategic planning and business development.
Finger joins Bronx-based Montefiore from the Einstein Healthcare Network, a private, nonprofit academic health care system based in Philadelphia, where he served as chief administrative officer. He previously spent 10 years at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in a number of positions, including vice president for strategic planning.
Montefiroe officials said Finger began his career in New York City government during the administration of Mayor Edward I. Koch.
He received a master”™s degree in economics and public policy from Columbia University”™s School of International and Public Affairs and his bachelor”™s degree from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie.
Lynn Richmond, executive vice president at Montefiore, in the announcement said Finger”™s  “depth of strategic and operational experience will be of tremendous value to Montefiore as we forge innovative partnerships to create an integrated, regional system of care up the Hudson Valley.”
In Westchester County, the Montefiore Health System includes Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital and White Plains Hospital.
