Greenburgh to help recent college grads find jobs

Town of Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner plans to form a networking group of unemployed recent college graduates to assist them in finding jobs.

“During the summer, I had the chance to chat with some recent college graduates who still can”™t find work,” Feiner said. “It”™s frustrating to have a degree from a two-year or four-year college, to have spent tens of thousands of dollars, or over six figures, getting a degree, and then to have no job.”

Feiner said the group will meet, exchange ideas about job opportunities, share strategies and reach out to possible employers and contacts who could help them find employment.

The initiative is a follow-up to an effort Feiner started more than six years ago that he said helped more than 300 people find work. Feiner said he also invites recent graduates to volunteer their time to help organize the initiative.
