Davidson honored by law society

Kathie E. Davidson, who was recently appointed as administrative judge of New York state”™s Ninth Judicial District was the guest of honor at a reception held by the Justice Brandeis Law Society at the White Plains office of Miller, Zeiderman & Wiederkehr LLP

Davidson formerly served on Westchester Family Court and is the first African-American administrative judge of the Ninth Judicial District. Her legal career spans more than two decades. Before becoming a judge, she was an attorney in the Westchester County Law Department. She had served as a hearing officer with the Board of Education for the City of New York and was a law guardian with the juvenile rights division of the Legal Aid Society. Davidson had been an investigative attorney with the New York State Education Department and practiced family law in Westchester County.

The Justice Brandeis Law Society was founded in 2007. Its membership includes judges, attorneys and court personnel.
