Curtis named Golden Scoop Champ

Food Bank for Westchester held its 9th Annual Golden Scoop Corporate Competition to help raise awareness of hunger. Fourteen teams of corporate employees competed against one another to see which could repack the most pounds of pasta from bulk quantity to 1-pound bags, suitable for distribution to the hungry in Westchester. They had a one-hour time limit. 

The employees of Curtis Instruments packed 1,700 pounds of pasta in the allotted hour. The grand total packed by all teams was 19,079 pounds that will be distributed by the Food Bank.  

In addition to Curtis Instruments, this year”™s participants were: Capital One; Stop & Shop; PKF O”™Connor Davies; Cannon; JP Morgan Chase (which had two teams); Swiss Re; Morgan Stanley; Lunge; New York- Presbyterian; AQR; Regeneration Pharmaceuticals; and Agra Energy.

The Food Bank supplies and supports more than 265 hunger-relief programs throughout Westchester.
