Burke holds Road Race & Walk - Westfair Communications

The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital held the “Heels & Wheels 5K Road Race & Walk” at its Mamaroneck Avenue campus in White Plains on May 7 and, as part of the festivities, gave the Jenny Lewis Memorial Award to Heidi Spitz, director of outpatient neuropsychology at Burke.

The award is named in honor of Jenny Lewis Catalanello, Burke”™s former chief development officer who passed away in 2015. It is given to an individual who best exemplifies the generous and giving spirit for which she is remembered.

There were events for participants of all ages and abilities, such as those in racing chairs and hand cycles. One of the running/walking events, for example, had 156 participants whose times to the finish line ranged from six to 23 minutes.
