“The more Trumbull can control our own destiny, the better we are for it,” said First Selectman Vicki Tesoro, noting that the Westfield Trumbull mall is the town’s largest taxpayer.
The town says strong interest has been expressed in the former United Healthcare building - whose 253,000-square-foot space represents 52 percent of all the vacant space in Trumbull - while adding significant housing to the Westfield Mall property is under discussion.
