“We’ve got to hit the elephant in the room – getting our fiscal house in order,” the governor said in his remarks to the Chamber of Commerce. “I just want to get this thing going."
“We’ve changed the face of what happens in downtown and throughout the city, and created a downtown mecca for the region," she says.
"When you look at the growth areas in Fairfield County, it’s all happening in Stamford," said Cavanagh.
"It is time to pass the baton to new leadership.” said Condlin, who will exit on June 30.
“The Chamber of Commerce is always supportive of anything that can bring economic growth – not at all costs, but at good cost -- and that’s what this project would be," says Stamford Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jack Condlin.
The 700,000-square-foot SoNo Collection mall in Norwalk opens in October 2019, but its impact is already being felt in the region.
