PointsBet will be the exclusive provider of odds, props and trends for NBCSN, Golf Channel and the Peacock streaming service.

The reason given was ongoing health and safety concerns due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

NBC had previously broadcast the U.S. Open from 1995 to 2014; this year’s event, originally scheduled for June 18-21, will run Sept. 17-20.

NBC said the moves will take place over the next 12 to 18 months, though it did not say how many employees will be relocating to its Stamford headquarters at 1 Blachley Road.

Solomon, who is lead production executive for NBC Sports Group’s Golf Channel, was also named executive producer for that network.
