As of 3 p.m. yesterday, according to the Connecticut Department of Health, the state’s positivity rate stood at 3.35% -- the first time it has risen above 3% in several weeks.
Most nursing home employees will see an increase in their wages to at least $20 per hour.
The move follows a newly issued directive from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
As of June 10, Connecticut’s nursing homes had recorded 8,669 confirmed COVID cases and 2,106 deaths.
Asked by the Business Journal if Renee Coleman-Mitchell had resigned or been dismissed, the governor said: “That’s still being worked out.”
Fairfield County still has the state’s largest number of coronavirus incidents, with 4,417 confirmed cases, 665 hospitalizations and 155 deaths.
