Last year, 6.43 million passengers traveled through the Windsor Locks-based airport, up from 6.06 million one year earlier.
The low-cost airline will continue to serve the region with its route from Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, New York.
“This is a stress-free environment for aviation to grow,” said Ed Harrison, Stewart International Airport's general manager. “And our strategic aviation assets that we have in the New York metropolitan area, Stewart will play an important part in the growth of the region.”
Gov. Malloy celebrates news as evidence of ability to "grow jobs and increase business activity in Connecticut."
Flights from Bradley will fly to Edinburgh, while the airline will offer trips from Stewart International to Dublin, Shannon, Belfast and Edinburgh.

Still, the Connecticut airport ranked higher than facilities in neighboring states.
There are plenty of options outside of the county -- but none are particularly convenient.
Fares start from $509 for travel between November 2016 and March 2017.
