AHCT participants will see an average health insurance savings per household of $116 per month, according to the organization's CEO.
“There was a huge amount of confusion and misinformation out there" this year, according to AHCT Director of Marketing Andrea Ravitz.
The total enrollees is 3,068 fewer than last year. Of those, 80,812 renewed their plans while 30,254 were new customers.
“This year, more than ever, it pays to shop and compare," said AHCT CEO James Michel. "You may find cost savings or lower monthly payments with a different plan.”
As for ongoing concerns about the possibility of major reforms to, or repeal of, the Affordable Care Act, new CEO James Michel dismissed it as “background noise."
Exact sites have not been finalized, but Access Health for now is looking at spaces in community health centers, public libraries, and the like.
AHCT is now focused on educating consumers on how to derive maximum benefits from their selected insurance plans.
