The City of Shelton shut down the proposal for a “burlesque café” ahead of a Nov. 14 Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission meeting that was scheduled to consider the new business’ application.

Hush owner Randi Lee England insisted that burlesque entertainment was "all about the theatrics" and not about "taking your clothes off.”
