Danbury Hat Tricks win their first championship title
The Danbury Hat Tricks won their first-ever championship as a franchise team in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) by beating the Carolina Thunderbirds in a 3-2 overtime game last night to secure the Commissioner”™s Cup.
The team”™s forward Michael Marchesan scored the first goal and landed the winning goal in an overtime duel, taking home the FPHL”™s Playoff MVP Award.
The Hat Tricks won the league”™s Empire Division with a league high 44 games in the regular season. The Thunderbirds won the league”™s Continental Division with 40 victorious games in the regular season.
