“It is imperative, especially in these economic times, to find new and improved ways to help the businesses we serve succeed and prosper,” said Business Council President and CEO Marsha Gordon. “Our collaboration with The Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber will give Westchester County businesses a stronger voice in the legislative arena and create more opportunities for members to do business and form their own strategic partnerships throughout the region.”

The alliance will allow the two groups to speak with a unified voice in Albany and in Washington, D.C.  In addition, both organizations will promote each other”™s events and members of each will receive courtesy pricing when attending events. The groups will also hold at least one joint event each year, starting with a “Business After Business” gathering later this year.

“The strategic alliance between the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce and The Business Council of Westchester will strengthen our participation in the legislative process, allow us to develop and share strategies to improve our region’s overall economic health, and expand opportunities to grow our member businesses,” said HVGCC President and CEO Ron Forehand Jr., whose 90-year-old organization serves northern Westchester and southern Putnam counties. “Together, we can better monitor and influence county, state and national policies that impact our local business owners, while building a new framework to enhance interaction between our respective memberships.”
