Yonkers ShopRite closes for renovations

ShopRite in Yonkers’s Greenway Plaza closed for renovations Sunday. The store is expanding its 49,000 square foot store by 7,000 more square feet and will increase its food selections and specialty offerings.

Customers will find more options in the produce, seafood, deli and dairy departments, and ShopRite will also expand its natural, organic and gluten-free products in each department.

The largest retail-owned cooperative will now provide the free services of an on-site registered dietitian to help customers who want advice on shopping healthy and buying items that meet their special dietary needs. ShopRite also provides home delivery for customers who want to order groceries online. There”™s a $50 minimum on the amount of groceries customers can spend in order to receive home delivery, and customers must have one of the following zip codes: 10701, 10704 and 10705.

While the Yonkers ShopRite is closed for renovations, a free shuttle service will take customers from the Greenway Plaza to a neighboring ShopRite on Tuckahoe Road. It runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Wednesdays and Sundays.
