On Fortunoff: The jewelry and home furnishings store, which was recently acquired by Lord & Taylor, will be integrated in Lord and Taylor stores starting in Spring 2009.
On men: Lord & Taylor is launching a new menswear line called Black Brown 1826, named after the year the store was founded. It”™s “a modern lifestyle collection inspired in classic Americana but with elements for the modern man.” The line will be advertised in September and featured in Lord & Taylor”™s fashion catalogues for men.
On women:  “Seven for All Mankind jeans is big for us in Scarsdale,” Olexa said. “And our Lord & Taylor cashmere collection is spectacular ”“ the usual basics in great colors plus fashion pieces: a bomber jacket. a grandfather vest, a fabulous dress,  argyle, color blocks, embellishment”¦ really great.”
On accessories, handbags and shoes: Olexa said the store introduced Juicy Couture jewelry last spring, which “blew out.” The store will be introducing handbags in the fall, and Olexa expects the same reaction from customers. “We have been doing very well with Kate Spade’s handbags and shoes,” Olexa said. “We expect this to continue, as well as with Cole Hanh handbags and Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes.”
On the “My Favorite Store” advertising campaign: “It was so exceptionally successful, we are doing another round” of real customers in print and radio in key markets, and cable TV in select markets.”
On cosmetics: La Prairie will be added to the mix in September.
