Shake Shack, At Home open first Rockland County locations

Two prominent national chains, the fast-casual restaurant Shake Shack and the big-box retailer At Home, have opened their first locations in Rockland County.

The new Shake Shack debuts today for drive-thru and curbside pickup in the Rockland Plaza at 78 S.  Middletown Road in Nanuet, occupying the space that was once home to Michael”™s Tuxedo. While this is the county”™s first Shake Shack, the chain has a regional presence at Woodbury Common in Central Valley plus eateries in Hartsdale, Yonkers and across the Fairfield County border in Darien.

Also in Nanuet is At Home, a home d̩cor retailer which opened last week in the 101,000-square-foot space that was the former MacyӪs location within The Shops at Nanuet. This is the second regional location for the chain, which also has a store in Middletown. At HomeӪs New York presence is primarily upstate while its Connecticut presence is limited to a store in Hartford CountyӪs Manchester.
