Chop”™t Creative Salad Co. is scheduled to open this spring at The Rye Ridge Shopping Center in Rye Brook.
The first Chop”™t store opened in 2001 in Union Square in Manhattan, according to Win Ridge Realty, Rye Ridge”™s property manager.
The company has four stores in New York City and four in Washington, D.C.
The concept of Chop”™t allows patrons to choose among 30 “choppings,” which are mixed into their choice of lettuce type. Ingredients are chopped at an assembly line station and can be rolled into wraps.
Rye Ridge has had a steady influx of retail activity over the past year.
Chipotle Mexican Grill opened in the plaza”™s former theatre building last spring and a Buddha Sushi Asian fusion and hibachi restaurant is scheduled to open this winter.
A HomeMade Pizza Co. is scheduled to open its first New York store at 25 Purchase St. in Rye this week.
A Larchmont location at 1939 Palmer Ave. is planned to follow.
The Chicago-based company crafts all-natural, bake-at-home pizza pies designed for busy families on the go. Customers are asked to pick a size, a sauce and to select among 45 ingredients for a customized pie.
The company was founded 13 years ago by brothers-in-law Matt Weinstein and Eric Fosse, a former New York City resident.
HomeMade Pizza Co. has 29 locations nationwide.
Undisputed Sports Bar & Grill has opened at 38 Main St. in Yonkers.
The waterfront area restaurant is owned by Yonkers residents Brian O”™Shea and Miguel Torres.
Several retailers and businesses have opened along the waterfront development over the past year, including The Dolphin Restaurant, which opened in the spring in the 1 Van Der Donck St. space vacated by the Pier View after declaring bankruptcy.
