Greenwich retailer Outdoor Traders to shut down

The Greenwich-based camping and winter sports retailer Outdoor Traders has announced that it will be going out of business.
“After 27 years of serving Greenwich and the surrounding markets it is time for us to retire,” the store stated on its website. “We are closing our doors forever.”

Owners Dick and Jean Hoyt also launched a “huge retirement sale” with up to 60 percent discounts on its
inventory, as well as the fixtures and furniture within the store at 55 Arch St. in Greenwich. While a final closing date was not announced, the Hoyts said that store credits and gift cards will be honored through June 17.
