Bed Bath & Beyond relocates store

Bed Bath & Beyond has relocated a Yorktown Heights store to 3061 E. Main St. in Mohegan Lake in Cortlandt.

The 35,000-square-foot store along Route 6 features a health and beauty care department as well as a fine-tabletop and giftware department.

All stores that have opened since 1985 range in size from 23,000 to 50,000 square feet, the company said. Several stores exceed 80,000 square feet.

“At Bed Bath & Beyond we are committed to providing exceptional customer service, a broad and deep assortment and great value to our customers. We look forward to continuing these traditions in our new Cortlandt store,” said Steven Temares, CEO, in a statement.

The number of employees at the new store was not disclosed.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. operates retailers including: Bed Bath & Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops, Harmon, Harmon Face Values and Buybuy Baby.

As of February 2010, there were 965 Bed Bath & Beyond stores in 49 states.

Other Westchester County stores include: Elmsford, Yonkers and Mount Vernon.
