Los Remolinos opens as South Norwalk’s newest restaurant

Los Remolinos, a Latin-inspired restaurant and bar, opened last week in South Norwalk.

Los Remolinos features dishes and cocktails from Spain, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela. The new eatery at 136 Washington St. is operated by Edwin Montoya and Chef Ismael Carias, the duo behind Appétit Bistro in Port Chester. Montoya and Carias opened an eatery last spring in this space under the Appétit Bistro concept before switching to the Los Remolinos brand.

“This concept has been in the works for a while now,” said Montoya. “Los Remolinos is a fabulous fit for the neighborhood and the energy that SoNo”™s dining scene is known for.”

The restaurant will be open seven days a week for brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails, with live and DJ music coming soon.
