Yonkers to millennials: See and invade our office space
The city of Yonkers has added video clips showcasing commercial buildings to its Generation Yonkers marketing campaign to attract young professionals and businesses to New York City”™s near neighbor on the Hudson.
Called “Space Invaders,” the series of minute-long videos offers views of “hot” and “affordable” office and residential loft space at four properties: iPark Lofts at 1-9 Bashford St. and 28 Wells Ave. on the downtown iPark Hudson campus; Station Plaza at 86 Main St., a downtown office and retail building whose developer, Homes for America Holdings Inc., defaulted on a mortgage and vacated the property several years ago; and 500 Nepperhan Ave., an industrial loft building in the former Alexander Smith Carpet Mills that is part of the city”™s newly branded Carpet Mills Arts District.
“Word is getting out that Westchester”™s hippest city has so much to offer,” Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano said in the city announcement. “And we don”™t plan on stopping. I want everyone, from business owners and executives to artists and designers, to see all that Yonkers has to offer. Space Invaders will do just that with an engaging virtual tour of some of the city”™s most exciting office space.”
