RE/MAX director does double duty

Veteran commercial broker Paul J. Pallett has joined the Scarsdale office of RE/MAX Prime Properties as its director of commercial services.

After 35 years in commercial real estate, Pallett has branched out into the residential market since joining RE/MAX.

In January, he brokered the $2.1 million sale of 39 Lawrence St. in southwest Yonkers, a 33,000-square-foot warehouse whose new owner, artist David Hammons, plans to convert to an art gallery and workshop producing sculptures and scenery for Broadway productions.

In Mount Vernon, Pallett recently handled the leasing of 12,000 square feet of space at 275 Washington St. by a joint venture of HBO/Warner Brothers. The industrial space in the former Borden Dairy Products plant will be used for construction of television and movie set scenery and studio dressing, according to RE/MAX.

In Pelham Manor, Pallet brokered a lease deal for a 20,000-square-foot industrial building and 4.5-acre property on Secor Lane. The tenant, Van Trans L.L.C, a 200-vehicle fleet transportation company that services the New York City Board of Education, will operate a school bus dispatch and maintenance facility there.
